Way back in 2003 I answered the Candlelighters’ call for Camp Delight volunteers. I was so amazed by the children and families who are a part of this organization that I stuck around for 13 years! Throughout that time, I held various positions, including Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director and Camp Counsellor. I have also had the pleasure of helping with the Night of Delight, golf tournaments, donor presentations, the Christmas family program and many other events and partnerships.
My career as a Dietitian in the school and recreation setting has taken me across Canada. I have enjoyed extensive work in the not-for-profit sector, allowing me further experience in partnership development, volunteer management and event planning.
More recently, my husband Matt and I are happy to be home in Newfoundland with our daughter Lauren. I believe the best way to live is by helping others, and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with the Candlelighters again!
