Christine Whalen

I have been a Director for Candlelighters NL since 2006. I volunteer because I enjoy the opportunity to help others, who are experiencing similar challenges like my family faced. I consider it to be an honour and a privilege to be a board member of Candlelighters NL. It is my hope that in some small way I can help families affected by childhood cancer, even for just a short time. I understand that having a child diagnosed with cancer is life-altering, and have found that having an organization like this one is a blessing. I know how much of a help Candlelighters NL was to my family during our ‘early days’, and how much of a help they remain to be as we navigate this journey.
